"Me" Time
Looking for a good excuse to get out of the house? Here are a few of our mom-only activities:
Chapter Meetings
Our Chapter Meetings occur once a month and revolve around varying discussion topics. Past topics include All about You: Then & Now, Volunteering: Keeping Your Foot in the Workplace, Simple Romance: Keeping the Love Alive, Going Green! and Creating a Savings Mindset for Kids.
We enjoy an informal social time for the first half hour of each meeting with chapter business and the topic discussion following for the next 90 minutes. Those wishing to socialize past our regular meeting time often adjourn to the nearby Factoria area for coffee or drinks.
Prospective members are welcome to join us for two of our meetings before joining Mothers & More.
All Chapter Meetings are held at 12700 SE 32nd Street in Bellevue. (Eastshore Unitarian Church; we are not affiliated.) Get Directions
Mom's Night Out
Mom's Night Out (or MNO) is an evening of kid-free relaxation for our members held on the first Thursday evening of the month. Past and upcoming Mom's Nights Out include a wine & cheese tasting, kayaking on Lake Union, dinner & movie, spa night and Chopstix Dueling Piano Bar. Mom's Night Out refreshes and restores our members' spirits!
Book Club
Our Book Club meets on the third Wednesday evening of each month for book discussion, refreshment and socializing. We strive to read a wide variety of books, including novels, short stories and non-fiction. Suggestions are taken throughout the year by our Book Club Coordinator who announces the next 6 months of books in December. Selections have included Wicked, Reading Lolita in Tehran, The Namesake (a Seattle Reads book) and To Kill a Mockingbird.
Message Board
Our very active message board is the central communication hub for our group. Looking for a playgroup for your kids? Want some company at the movies tomorrow afternoon? Need information on the next meeting? You'll find it all on the message board. It's a GREAT way to connect with other moms. As a resource for moms in the Seattle/Eastside, it is worth the price of membership all on its own.
It is for Eastside Mothers & More members only. You must register and have your registration approved before you can gain access to the forums. Some of the forums you'll find on the message board are:
- Chapter Information and Archives
- General Chit-Chat
- Meals for New Moms
- Playgroups
- Impromptu Events and Activities
- Recipes
- Nutrition and Fitness
- Support
- Product and Service Recommendations
- For Sale or Trade
