Our Local Chapter

Eastside Mothers & More, Chapter #127, was founded on October 8, 1996. Since that time, our group has evolved to meet the various needs of the membership.

This is an organization composed of diverse women from many different situations. Some of our members are sequencing out of the paid workforce to care for their children, others are balancing paid work and mothering. Some members have just moved here from other parts of the country, and others have lived in the area their whole lives. Whatever your circumstance, there is a place for you within our chapter.

We invite you to attend up to two of our evening meetings as a prospective member to see if Mothers & More is a good fit for you. For more information on our meetings or membership, please contact info@eastsidemothersandmore.org.

Testimonials from our members

Ame, mother of 2, stay-at-home mom

I joined this group because the meetup groups were very impersonal. When I tried to engage people on their message boards, nobody would respond.  The women in this group have been warm and inviting from day one. I've felt connected to this group and every one in it since we all share the bond of being mothers, something that friends without kids will never understand. The job of a stay at home mom can be lonely, which is why the message board has been vital to my sanity since I can check it on the go and see what other people are talking about. Since we moved here from Chicago it's also been difficult to find friends, but I feel that I can call anyone in this group my friend and they would feel the same about me. Being a member of Mothers and More inspires me to be a better mother and community member.

Leanne, mother of 3 - I just returned to work part-time after being home for 3 years.

I joined Mothers and More to connect with other Moms in the community after having my 3rd child.  What I love about the group is the sense of commitment, fun and the comfort it allows me to feel being a stay at home or working mom.  All the events that allow me to have a break from being a mom and celebrating me as a woman are great too!

I accepted Co-leadership this year as well so that I would be more involved, utilize the message board more, meet more members, be challenged and of course, help and do good for the members :)

Jennifer, mother of 2, stay-at-home mom

After moving here from California, I was thrilled to find a group that I connected with so easily and quickly.  I really love how active the message board is - helps you get to know people much faster than if you are only  able to connect with them at the functions.  As a stay at home mother of 2, one with special needs, this active message board has become an important part of my every day.  It provides emotional support and a place to vent and share, and they are there to cheer along with me too.

The 2 words that come to mind when I think of EM&M is support and fun. The Message Board provides a wealth of support in all areas of life—it’s a place to give and receive support as well as generally share and learn. The events, whether it’s a mom’s night out or our annual camping trip, are always, without fail, fun.

Amy, mother of 2, part time work at home mom

I love knowing that no matter what is going on in my life, I have a group of knowledgable, supportive, non-judgmental women that I can turn to with my questions, successes and failures.  I have made some of the best friends in my life through this group and had a lot of fun along the way!
